BioShock 2 Game

BioShock 2 follows in the footsteps of the incredibly popular BioShock and is being heralded as one of the best upcoming video games slated for a 2010 release. As far as new release video games go, BioShock 2 is heading the list of must-buys and fans are eagerly awaiting the next BioShock installment: the BioShock 2 game.

February 9th 2010 should see 2K Games’ release of BioShock 2, rated first among the present crop of upcoming video games. BioShock 2 follows the extremely popular BioShock and is a first-person shooter survival horror game being developed by 2K for the Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. BioShock 2 is rumored to be one of the best upcoming video games and the first that fans saw of it was a teaser trailer on PS 3’s BioShock. March 2009 saw the launch of BioShock 2‘s new website, There’s Something In The Sea, and it appears that the game’s official name will be BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams.

The BioShock 2 game picks up where BioShock left off: in the underwater city of Rapture with its Big Daddies and Little Sisters. The BioShock 2 protagonist is the original Big Daddy prototype whose objective is to rid Rapture of Big Sister, who rules the city with an iron hand. Big Daddy has to tackle moral choices similar to those thrown at the original BioShock protagonist and also has to face the humanity-compromising plasmid tests. But the BioShock 2 game will also have new features: players will be able to walk, and even fight, on the sea-bed and Big Daddy will be sporting several new combat maneuvers. Another new feature is the “Capture the Sister’ mode, where Big Daddy tries to catch a sister guarded by another big daddy.

BioShock 2 will have a single player mode as well as a competitive, but not a co-operative, multiplayer mode. The competitive multiplayer mode of the BioShock 2 game will actually feature a completely different game with a storyline set before that of the main conflict of the single player game.

Late 2009 and early 2010 will see many new video games being released including Assassin’s Creed 2 and Left For Dead 2 in November 2009 and BioShock 2 and God Of War 3 in 2010. New release video games have never been so exciting and fans have much to look forward to.
