Assassin's Creed 2 is one of the most anticipated new video games of the year. The Assassin's Creed 2 release date is Nov. 17 and it will feature some new aspects to the original in an effort to stay ahead of other new release video games .
While the first Assassin’s Creed was an unexpected hit the sequel is one of the most awaited upcoming video games of the season and will see many improvements. New video games have to offer players something more than the original and developer Ubisoft has listened to some of the criticisms of players.
This time around, players in Assassin’s Creed 2 will be able to accomplish assassinations using attacks from above and by throwing characters off ledges, earn money to change their character and interact with others within the game to ask for their help. The overall game play has changed as well, going from repetitive missions in a row to several different missions, each with its own goals. Missions can also change, going from an escort mission, to a race to an assassination.
<p>Players will be able to interact with a young Leonardo Da Vinci to acquire weapons and other items to aid them on their missions, including Da Vinci’s flying machine. Players in Assassin’s Creed 2 will see their notoriety in the game rise as missions are completed, but will be able to lower it by eliminating witness, taking down wanted posters and bribery. Smoke bombs can be used to help escape certain situations and mercenaries can be paid to distract some guards in missions. The game takes place in Venice, Italy, and its surrounding countryside and the player will be able to pilot gondolas to help them get around. The city can be explored completely. Of course, the hidden and poison blades are still available.
The Nov. 17 release date for Assassin’s Creed 2 is the same as Left for Dead 2 and comes just about four months before God of War 3, which are considered to be two more of the best upcoming video games . Uncharted 2 has been available for a month.
